Employee Imports with Proxy

 If you have scheduled Employee Imports with <PROXY>, check them before 2H 2026 Preview.

This is easy to miss.

SAP is removing the ability to maintain Proxy assignments through Employee Data Import and User OData V2.

From 2H 2026, values in <PROXY> will no longer create, update or delete Proxy assignments.

User OData V2 can still retrieve Proxy relationships, but not maintain them.

Existing assignments stay as they are.

Why I would check scheduled jobs first:

KBA 2704750 already documents that a blank Proxy column in an Employee Import can reset existing Proxy assignments.

So I would check three things:

👉 Are any scheduled Employee Imports still carrying <PROXY>?

👉 Are any integrations or scripts maintaining Proxy through User OData V2?

👉 Who owns moving those to a supported method?
