n8n × SAP SuccessFactors: Automation Blog Series - Part 1

n8n × SAP SuccessFactors: Automation Blog Series

Who just logged into my SAP SuccessFactors demo instance?

Just published a new SAP Community blog.

It started with a simple question: Who just logged into my instance?

That question led me into a practical experiment with n8n, SAP SuccessFactors, Identity Authentication, BTP and Gmail.

The result is a working login-alert workflow that turns an authentication event into an immediate notification.

I documented the complete journey, including the lessons, false positives, filtering, deduplication, and production considerations.

If you work with SuccessFactors, integrations, security, or automation, this may be useful for your next experiment.

Here is the detailed blog:

Building this also opened a much bigger line of thought for me.

n8n can bring models such as OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini into the workflow through its AI nodes.

Instead of ending with a Gmail alert, the next step could be to let an AI model analyse the event, add context, assess the potential risk, recommend the next action, and involve a human before anything sensitive is executed.

This blog gives you a strong starting point to explore how SAP events can become intelligent, AI-assisted workflows.
