Practitioners must understand the licensing implications and configuration requirements to maximize these new capabilities.
AI-Assisted Ratings and Skill Management
A core feature of the 1H 2026 release is the introduction of AI-assisted proficiency ratings for inferred skills. When this feature is activated, Generative AI suggests a rating aligned with the Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) rating scale (Source 2). If a skill is inferred but does not exist in the TIH attribute library, it must be verified by a TIH administrator before it can be tagged for Learning (Source 2).
From a cost management perspective, practitioners should note that reviewing AI-inferred skills and ratings consumes AI units. These units are consumed once skills are inferred, regardless of whether a manual review is subsequently conducted by an administrator or user (Source 2). Additionally, AI-assisted skills association with Open Content Network (OCN) items only applies to courses sent after the feature is enabled; it does not retroactively tag existing OCN items (Source 2).
Learning Home Page and Snack View Enhancements
The 1H 2026 release also refines the Learning Home Page experience, specifically through the "snack view" for quick access to learning details. To maintain a consistent visual experience, formatting such as bold text or specific paragraph styles is excluded from the snack view description (Source 2). Currently, this view is only available to Learning users on their home page; it is not yet supported for managers in Team View, delegates, or administrators using proxy mode (Source 2).
Search functionality on the Learning Home Page remains scoped to the specific section currently being accessed. Keyword searches do not span across all sections simultaneously (Source 2). Furthermore, while the Person-Centric Experience (PCX) for multiple employments is available, it is not a mandatory update for the foreseeable future, allowing organizations to adopt it at their own pace (Source 2).

When deploying these features, administrators must verify their licensing model. Agentic AI use cases utilizing Joule are classified as Premium AI features and require AI units as defined for those specific functions (Source 2). For task observations, practitioners should be aware that if a "Require Manager for Task Observation" setting is active and the primary manager is on leave, the system does not automatically reassign the observation to a next-level manager (Source 2).
Finally, administrators managing custom pages should note that disabled pages will still appear in the "Generate Direct Link" dropdown. This is because "Disabled" is not considered a definitive status, and pages can be re-enabled at any time (Source 2).
