Resolving Functional Queries in the 1H 2026 Learning Release
Following the 1H 2026 release, SAP SuccessFactors Learning administrators must distinguish between system defects and intentional design constraints. The 1H 2026 Feature Release FAQ clarifies several behaviors that may initially appear as issues but are current product limitations. For instance, the new keyword search on the Learning Home Page is restricted to the specific section currently being accessed; it does not support cross-section searching. Additionally, the snack view for course details intentionally strips formatting such as bold text or paragraph breaks to maintain visual consistency with the home page design.
AI-Assisted Skills and Rating Behaviors
The introduction of AI-assisted proficiency ratings and skill associations has introduced specific operational requirements. If a skill is inferred but does not exist in the Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) attribute library, it remains unavailable for Learning tagging until a TIH administrator manually verifies it. Furthermore, AI units are consumed immediately upon skill inference, regardless of whether an administrator subsequently reviews or approves those ratings.
For organizations utilizing the Open Content Network (OCN), AI-assisted skill tagging is not retroactive. Skills are only associated with courses transmitted after the feature has been enabled in the system configuration. Architects should also note that while Gen AI recommends ratings, these recommendations are strictly aligned with existing TIH rating scales.
Person-Centric Experience (PCX) and Multiple Employments
The Person-Centric Experience (PCX) for multiple employments remains a restricted availability feature and is not mandatory. A critical architectural change for those adopting PCX is the consolidation of user identities; once enabled, the system maintains one unique user ID per person entity rather than multiple IDs for different employments. This change necessitates updates to assignment profile rules, which have been enhanced to allow targeting based on both primary and secondary employment data within that single profile.
Integration logic also shifts under PCX. While the Person Connector is based on the standard User Connector - SF, it includes specific mapping for Employee Central fields to handle multiple employment data. SAP provides an Integration Center template to facilitate this setup rather than requiring a completely manual custom job.
Validation and Known Error Tracking
Administrators encountering unexpected behavior should consult the 1H 2026 Known Issues dashboard, which provides dynamic links to top-reported defects. It is important to validate whether a perceived issue is a known limitation. For example, the snack view for course details is currently unavailable when using delegate mode, proxying via Learning Administration, or viewing the Team View; these scenarios are excluded from the 1H 2026 functional scope.
Additionally, the "Generate Direct Link" area will continue to display custom pages even if they are disabled. This is intentional behavior because the disabled status is not considered definitive, and administrators retain the ability to re-enable these pages at any time.
